There exists a long standing Easter tradition of “walking the way of the cross”. In Jerusalem, this route is called the “Via Dolorosa” and winds through the city streets stopping at the places associated with the arrest, trial and crucifixion of Jesus.
The pictures for our trail have been created by children from the following schools:
- Clifton upon Dunsmore CofE Primary School
- St Nicolas CofE Primary School, Nuneaton
- Wooten Wawen CofE Primary School
- Radford Semele CofE Primary School
Our trail begins at the Lych Gate of St James Church and follows 15 sites around the centre of Southam, located as shown on the accompanying map, which will guide you on your journey. For those with smart phones, each picture has a QR code for you to scan which will take you to a page of readings, reflections, prayers and questions to help you ponder the Hope of Easter.
We hope you enjoy following the trail.
