Living with Loss Service Sunday 6th November 2016 at 4pm
On Sunday 6th November 2016 at 4pm we are holding a short reflective service called “Living with Loss”.
At this service there will be an opportunity to remember and give thanks for the lives of people who were important to you, whether they died recently or long ago.
You are warmly invited to attend this service, bringing with you your family and friends. Refreshments will be served after the service.
During the service, for anyone who chooses it, the names of those you are remembering can be read out. If you would like us to do this, please contact the church office.
A Huge Thank-You
At our recent Harvest Supper Mary Williams, Terence Hill and John Tresidder, who had all recently stood down from the Fabric Committee, were enthusiastically thanked by the church family for all their years of dedicated service on the fabric committee, notching up over 100 years of service between them! They were presented with a wonderful cake made by Heather Shackleton showing the three of them sitting on a bench outside the church. The cake was then sliced and enjoyed by everyone attending the supper.
Rev Vikki Bisiker
It was announced in church on 24 January 2016 that, with effect from 1 March, Rev Vikki Bisiker, who knows the church and the area (currently being a curate at Radford Semele and Bishops Itchington), would provide full-time, interim stipendiary ministry to St James for a period of four years, the first year being the time when Vikki completes her curacy.
